In commemoration of the International Women’s Day 2024 with the theme INVEST IN WOMEN: ACCELERATE PROGRESS, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists , NAWOJ, Enugu State chapter , has called on the general public to invest in women for the well-being of society.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Chairperson, Comrade Ngozi Ngene and Secretary, Comrade Ogochukwu Chukwudike on Saturday,March 9,2024 in Enugu
The Association said the education of women is an essential part of the development of the society as the development of the future generations depends on it.

They noted that when you educate a woman, you educate a nation .The NAWOJ leadership explained that investing in women will enable them build a better a family, be active members of the society with sane mind , and reduce crime and hardship to the barest Minimum.
The Association urged the government and relevant stakeholders to prioritize the education of women because women inculcate good practices in their children and provide a labor force for the production of goods and services in the society.
