Nigrria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ Southeast zone has commended its members for their peaceful conduct during and after the November 25 triennial delegate Conference held in Abuja.
The NAWOJ Southeast congratulates Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State on his re-election. The association equally congratulates Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu state, Alex Otti of Abia state and Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, urging them to support the fight against gender violence.
This was contained in a communique Signed by the Zonal Secretary, Doris Chioma Alex and made available to newsmen at the end of the maiden virtual meeting of the new leadership of NAWOJ, South East zone , led by the Zonal president, Comrade Uzoamaka Agbo on Wednesday in Enugu.

“The NAWOJ South East urges its members to remain peaceful and love one another for the interest of the association.
“The NAWOJ Southeast congratulates Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State on his re-election. The association equally congratulates Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu state, Alex Otti of Abia state and Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State on their recent victories at the appellate courts.
NAWOJ South East congratulates the National Chairperson of the association, Comrade Aisha Bura on her well deserved victory at the just concluded 11th Triennial Delegates’ Conference. held in Abuja
.The zone also congratulates the National Financial Secretary, Comrade Ifeoma Aka on her victory. The zone pledges it’s total support and loyalty to the National leadership ably led by Comrade Bura and wishes her the very best as she pilots the affairs of NAWOJ with her able team.
It urges the governors of the zone to beef up security for the safety of travelers in this yuletide period.
NAWOJ Southeast urges drivers to avoid drinking while driving and also drive carefully to avoid accidents and loss of lives In this festive period.
It further urges southeast governors to support the campaign against all forms of gender-based violence in the zone to ensure its total elimination in 2030.
