At Coal City University ‘s  maiden convocation,  Mbah reiterates commitment to educational development

Enugu governor Dr Peter Mbah has reiterated the commitment of his administration in the development of  educational sector.,describing  education as the bedrock of his administration.

He made this known ,Saturday during the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th combined

( maiden)convocation ceremony of the Coal City University Enugu.

 The Governor ,who was represented by the Secretary to the States Government, Prof Chidiebere Onyia, said his administration will also  eradicate poverty through job creation for the countless graduates that are produced annually by the tertiary institutions in the state.

He assured that the state government will continue to partner the university to ensure that it remains in the map of global education.

He commended  the management of the University for their efforts in delivering quality education to the youths in order to secure a better tomorrow.

He noted that his administration’s plans to grow the state economy from the current 4.4 billion dollars to 30 billion dollars cannot be achieved without quality education.

The governor assured the graduating students that the state government is putting measures in place to ensure that they are meaningfully engaged in order to become useful to their families, the state and nation at large.

He said his administration has commenced the construction of 260 smart schools in all the 260 wards in the state, which according to him, begins the journey for a dignified society, especially in the area of the emerging technological innovations.

The governor appealed to  those that received the honorary degree to continue to support the school and be good Ambassadors .
