Government House Cultural troupe , (Office of the Governor), has won the 2022 Civil Service cultural dance competition ,held on Thursday,at Enugu State Secretariat, Enugu.
Post Primary School Management Board (PPSMB) cultural troupe took second position , while the third position went to Office of the Head of Service cultural troupe.
Enugu state Civil Service week is a week set aside by Enugu state Government for Civil servants in the state to socialize with one another. The week is an event, with well packaged activities, which include cultural dance competition, match pass, fashion parade and others.
Reacting to the victory, the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Barrister Emma Ugwu , commended the troupe for making the management and staff of Government House , proud.
He said, “in 2018, we participated and took first position . We have not had another edition of Civil Service week because of COVID-19, #EndSars , but this year, the governor said we will have the week. We had to train and we were able to take first position.
“Our troupe members also rehearsed very well. This enabled them to perform very, very well, to take first position. We thank God for giving us the victory,” Ugwu said,
He commended governor Ugwuanyi for creating an enabling environment for the troupe to do well.
