Enugu Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) has commended the management and staff of the Moniepoint MicroFinance Bank for changing the narrative in the banking services in Nigeria, especially in the Online banking and access to banking services by the Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs) in Nigeria.
He said over 70% of Banking Nigerians operating in almost every sector of the economy have accounts with Moniepoint MicroFinance Bank Limited.

ECCIMA President,Sir Odeiga Jideonwo gave the commendation on Friday in his Welcome address presented at the Moniepoint Special Day held on Friday at the ongoing 35Th Enugu International Trade Fair holding at the Trade Fair complex G.R.A. Enugu.

Jideonwo,who was represented by the Deputy President ECCIMA, Nnanyelugo Osakwe, expressed hope that the leading role of the bank towards providing support to SMEs and for the economic growth of the nation would remain the bank’s core target . While thanking the bank for all it’s doing to improve service delivery to it’s
customers , the President urged the bank to make more efforts to secure the accounts of it’s customers from fraudster ,who ate working day and night to tarnish ybe image of thr bank bu hacking into it’s customer’s account
He thanked Moniepoint for being one of the major sponsors of the fair., saying, “no doubt ,the participation of Moniepoint Microfinance Bank Ltd and observation of her special day at the fair will create and afford deepened opportunity and platform to project her arrays of products and for widened interaction with her various publice.

In his speech, the managing Director of Moniepoint Microfinance Bank, , Tosin Eniorunda, represented by the the Enugu state Coordinator 1 of Moniepoint Microfinance Bank, David Nnamoko , said moniepoint has a force that is making waves in the banking industry.
He said the bank offers higher interest rate.
The Chief Executive said Moniepoint iwa the only bank t that reverses money within 24hours. He added that the bank does over 30,000 transfers in a second. He urged members of the public to keep being part of the bank , assuring that Moniepoint will keep bringing innovations that will help them.
In his presentation, the State Coordinator 11, Saint Okam gave brief history of moniepoint. He said Moniepoint was a vision from one man, Tosin Eniorunda ,shared with Felix Ike., banking through financial technology.
He said they saw a way out in 2015.” Moniepoint was introduced, trying to drive financial technology. It was this that reduced queue in the bank.” It is only on Moniepoint that money is revised within 48 hours , ” he said.
According to him, in 2019, Moniepoint received license. In 2022, it received banking license.” Today, there is no part of Nigeria that you cannot find Moniepoint”, he said
Okam said that Moniepoint in 2022, got financial inclusion from the Central Bank of Nigeria. In May 3023, , it was awarded second fastest growing company in Africa
