Eid-el-Fitr Enugu CP assures adequate security

 

Commissioner of Police,Enugu state Command, Kanayo Uzuegbu has congratulated Muslims in Enugu State as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-fitr, assuring  residents of adequate security during the period and beyond.

The commissioner has also ordered Area Commanders,DPOs heads of  Tactical and  Operational team to intensify security in their various areas of coverage.

Statement from the police public relations officer ,Enugu state Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, made available to newsmen on Tuesday,April 9, said CP Uzuegbu urged them” to sustain the Command’s existing proactive policing strategy by ensuring that they dominate their respective security spaces and forestall any form of security breach throughout the celebration and beyond.”

The statement reads: 

 “Enugu State Police Command’s Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), has congratulated Muslims in Enugu state  as they join the Ummah to mark this year’s Eid al-Fitr, following the successful completion of Ramadan. He assures adequate security during and beyond the period of the celebration.

“Consequently, the Commissioner has ordered Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Heads of Tactical and Operational Teams to sustain the Command’s existing proactive policing strategy by ensuring that they dominate their respective security spaces and forestall any form of security breach throughout the celebration and beyond.

“The CP, therefore, urges the Muslim faithful to celebrate responsibly, show love to their neighbours, reflect on, and exemplify the purposes and sacrifices of the just-concluded Ramadan in their daily dealings.

“The Commissioner further enjoins citizens of Enugu State to remain law-abiding and promptly report criminal suspects and their activities to the nearest Police Station, or by calling 08098880172 or 08086671202 or emailing infoenugupolice@gmail.com.”, Ndukwe said.
