Enugu state Government has signed a multi -million Dollars agreement with a development partner, DEL-YORK Group, for the establishment of 042 Arena, entertainment park , stressing that Enugu state is open for business and ready to partner any genuine local and foreign investor(s)that will create employment and grow the economy exponentially.

The Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah , made this known Friday, in his speech shortly after the official signing ceremony between Enugu State Government and DEL-YORK Group in Government House, Enugu.

He said the concept of the 042 Arena and Entertainment Park is to develop a multi-purpose Sports, Education and Entertainment hub for all the sports needs from training facilities for a number of sports to stadium for games, to the education of the athletes on all aspects to becoming professional athletes.

It is also to develop an entertainment center that houses various aspects of the creative industry beginning with animation and development of film and content makers
A hospitality hub that houses live, work, play facilities such as hotels, residential accommodation, restaurants, cinemas
The governor added that it is a multi million dollars investment, that will bring Enugu back to the preeminent position it has been known for and make it a premier destination for investment.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of the DEL- YORK Group, Linus Idahosa said the 042 Arena and entertainment park , will have a Sports Arena where there will be training facilities, athlete housing, a physical therapy and sports medical centre.

He added that the entertainment facilities will have screening rooms, stages, and amphitheatres, as well as Animation outsourcing hub and support and logistics centre for the creative industry.
Present at the event were, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Chidiebere Onyia, Commissioner for trade, investment and industry, Adaora Chukwu, Lyold Ekweremadu, Commissioner for Youths and Sports, the state attorney general and Commissioner for justice, Dr Kingsley Udeh, among other.
