He made the call recently in an interview with newsmen , during his ofala festival, at his palace at Amagunze, Nkanu East Local government Area of  Enugu State.

He described  Ofala festivital as a unifying event that brings sons and daughters of the community together to celebrate culture and landmark events that attract development.

The monarch said in the history ofNkanu people, no community has ever communally honored their Igwe as it was done for him.

He noted that the ofala celebration in his honor was a symbol of unity, love, and togetherness among his people which according to him would lead to rapid development in the community.

Speaking at the Ofala festival,  thelchairman of the Ofala organizing committee, Chief Anthony Chiemeka Nnaji sald Ofala Festival serves as a binding event that symbolises the existing peace in the communityl.

On his part, the secretary oala organizing committee, Engineer Edmond Nnaji said the ofala festival was the climax of a peace initiative that had gathered momentum for a period of over 5years.

The secretary called on sons and daughters of Amagunze to come together with their resources to develop their community.

The president General of Isienu Amagunze Autonomous Community, Chief Okey Nwatu in a remark, s no community can develop without peace, a fact that propelled him to embark on a peace and reconciliation initiative among his people.

He added that the result of the peaceful reconciliation in the community gave birth to the first Ofala which according to him, is the  foundation for more development and peaceful co-existance among the people of Isienu Amagunze Community

Chieftaincy titles were bestowed on some illustrious sons and daughters  who have contributed in various ways to the development of the community.

One of the recipients of the chieftaincy title and the Director of Communications, Godfrey Okoye University, Rev Fr Benjamin Achi, in a remark thanked the Igwe and the entire people of Amagunze for considering him worthy of the honor. He promised to work more for the development of the community.

Highlights of the event included cultural displays, beauty pageant competition, conferment of chieftaincy title, cultural dances performance among others.
