Tribunal  strikes out suit seeking  to stop Mbah’s inauguration

Enugu State Election Petitions Tribunal on Tuesday struck out the application

by the Action Democratic Party (ADP) and it’s Governorship candidate in the March 18th Governorship election ,Nnamdi Omeje seeking to stop the inauguration of Peter Mbah as the Governor of the state on May 29th.

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) and its governorship candidate in the March 18th Governorship election, Nnamdi Omeje, had prayed the Tribunal to stop the inauguration and/or swearing in of Mbah as the Executive Governor of Enugu State.

The Petitioners had through their motion, urged the tribunal to make an interlocutory order of injunction restraining the governor-elect Peter Mbah from presenting himself, for the purposes of being sworn in or inaugurated as the Executive Governor of Enugu State come May 29, 2023.

However, in a ruling on Tuesday, the tribunal dismissed the application for lack of merit.
