Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has extended financial assistance to the family of Sergeant Ochoa Isaiah of Enugu State command, whose wife recently gave birth to a set of triplets, two boys and a girl.
Senior Special Assistant to the National Chairman of PCRC on Media and Publicity, Kunle Sodipo, disclosed this in a statement bon Friday in Abuja.
Sodipo said the birth of the triplets brought the number of Sergeant’s children to five as the couple already had two children, a boy and a girl.The National Chairman of the committee, Alhaji Mogaji Olaniyan, who led the team to the Sergeant’s house, said the financial assistance was to support the policeman and his family.
In his response, father of the triplets, Isaiahwho was overwhelmed with joy, thanked PCRC for the financial assistance.
He said the assistance would go a long way in helping the family to take care of the triplets.
In another development, the PCRC chairman led the national executive on visit to the Anambra State chapter of the committee to resolve the lingering leadership crisis rocking the state chapter.
Olaniyan, during the reconciliation meeting, asked the warring factions to sheath their sword and work in harmony with one another after hearing from them at a closed door meeting.
During a courtesy call on the state Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng, Olaniyan urged everyone to shun personal or parochial interest.
He, however, extended the tenure of the incumbent state chairman of the committee, J. C. Ezenwankwo, to December.
He also appointed the Sir Vic Agubisi as Chairman of PCRC, Onitsha Police Area Command and Ezenwankwo’s major rival as an officer of PCRC in the Southeast zone.

He added that their next target would be Enugu state, from where they will go to other states of the federation.
Olaniyan also condemned the attack on the U.S. Consulate convoy and the killing of seven persons as well as abduction of two others in Anambra.
He urged residents to support the police to curb the continuous violence, terrorism attacks and cultism in the state and the country at large.
, Recall that the Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Ahmed Ammani, visited the Nigeria Police Clinic where Isaiah’s wife delivered the triplets.
Police public relations officer of the Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, made this known in a statement in Enugu.
According to Ndukwe, “CP Ammani, while thanking God for the successful delivery of the triplet, prayed for His provision and preservation of the babies and family.
” He commended the Officer in-charge of Medical, CSP (Dr.) Blessing Isi Ijiomah, and her team for a job well-done, tasking them to keep up the good work and ensure excellent medical services delivery to Police personnel and members of the public”, Ndukwe said.
