Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Enugu state on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs )Mrs Onyinye Akubuilo-Okpalanma, has commended the winner of Miss Africa pageant Queen Adaora Gabriella Jennifer Ikpeama,for her dedication, noting that her rise to global recognition was not by coincidence but a testament to her passion, hard work, and unwavering commitment to girl-child development

She gave the commendation at a grand reception organized by Africa Women Summit, Enugu State Chapter, in honour of the Ezeagu- born Queen.

Adaora’s dedication embodies the vision of the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 5, which focuses on Gender Equality and Empowerment of All Women and Girls.

The SSA who is also Enugu State Coordinator for Africa Women Summit(AWV) commended the Founder of Africa Women Summit, Kalada Belema Meshac-Hart, for his vision and leadership.. She also commended the AWS Nigeria Country President, Mrs. Kenechukwu Umegwuagu-Francis, and the Vice President of AWS South-East, Dr. (Mrs.) Rose Okpara, for their tireless efforts in nurturing a platform that empowers women to shine and lead.
Stakeholders of Ezeagu LGA and Queen Adaora’s family, notable dignitaries, government representatives and her friends graced the occasion.which started with a reception at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu .
Member Representing Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Cyriacus Umeha led stakeholders from Ezeagu LGA to receive her at the airport.

As Queen Adaora continues to inspire young girls in Nigeria and across Africa, her journey serves as a reminder that when passion meets purpose, greatness is inevitable. Her story is not just one of personal achievement but of collective progress in the fight for equity, representation, and empowerment for every African girl.

Recall that Queen Adaora’ tepresentied Nigeria at the recently concluded Africa Women Summit (AWS) global pageant in Cairo, Egypt, Queen Adaora emerged victorious as she was crowned Africa Women Summit Global Queen.
This outstanding achievement further affirmed her role as a beacon of empowerment and leadership for African women and girls.

Other dignitaries at the event were the immediate past Deputy Governor of Enugu State, (Mrs.) Cecilia Ezeilo; the Special Adviser to the Governor on Diaspora Matters,6 Olangwa Ezekwu; the former Special Adviser to the Governor on Water Resources, Hon.
