Wife of Prof Ike Ekweremadu, former Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, Mrs Beatrice Ekweremadu has been released and is back to Nigeria.
Source close to Newsline Global disclosed that Mrs Ekweremadu returned to Nigeria on Tuesday.
A personal Assistant to Senator Ekweremadu,Nancy Ifebuche Nwoha was seen on the post she made on her WhatsApp status singing and praising God for releasing and bringing home Mrs Ekweremadu. Many residents in Enugu expressed joy at her release and prayed for release of Senator Ekweremadu in no distant time.
It could be recalled that Senator Ekweremadu was sentenced to 9 years, 6 months imprisonment while his wife was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment by the United Kingdom court for organ harvesting to save their daughter who needed kidney transplant.
