In continuation of the Renewed Hope Initiative’s (RHI) empowerment program across the 36 states of the country and the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT) aimed at improving the well-being of families , wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Friday, distributed 50,000( Fifty thousand books to 100(One hundred) selected schools comprising Primary and Secondary Schools in Enugu.

Presenting the books on behalf of the wife of the President at the Old Government Lodge, Enugu,wife of Enugu state Governor , Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah, said the First Lady’s gesture was not only to provide educational materials to the children, but also to empower the children ,ensuring that no one is left behind.
Her words, “the impact of this initiative goes beyond just providing educational materials. It is about empowering our children, the leaders of tomorrow with the unwavering commitment of Her Excellency Senator Olu Tinubu to ensuring that no child is left behind.”

Mrs Mbah commended the wife of the President for putting smiles on the faces of Enugu children, saying, “her dedication to improving the lives of the young ones, the nation is truly inspiring and serves as a ray of hope for all”.
The Governor ‘s wife advised the students to take their studies seriously, noting that hard work leads to success.

“Dear Children, I admonish you to take your education seriously, for it is the key to success . Make the most of this opportunity by studying hard, listening to your teachers, and always striving to do your best. The future of Enugu State and Nigeria rests in your hands. We earnestly believe in your ability to achieve greatness.
“Note that you can accomplish whatever you want with hard work and dedication. Let these exercise books inspire you to dream big and work towards those dreams every day”, she tasked the students .
In his inspirational speech, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Dr. Yomi Jaiye, spoke on, of “3 tips to forward thinking”, which are to have a goal, think of the goal and work on the goal
He urged the students to work hard, saying, “hard work works, working really hard is what successful people do. Every dreamer who is not a doer is a joker”.
He also gave health talk on how to help a vomiting and diarrhea patient. He said ,” the solution to pollution is dilution. When you want to cure vomiting , diarrhea, give the person more water.
There was a demonstration on cardiovascular pulmonary resuscitation ( CPR) The Special Adviser on health said, if someone collapsed mm, you put your hands on the middle of the heart of the person and press the heart to help the patient ‘s heart to pump blood to brain, by that way emergency help has come.
In her lecture on “child abuse”, Hon. Ego Ajah, ENSUBEB, enumerated different types of abuses, which she said include physical, verbal, emotional among others
.
She lamented that most abuses were
people close to the victims. Ajah urged students to report cases of abuse against them or against anyone to para Counselor or an adult in the school or at home. She noted that child abuse could make a child feel inferior, perform poorly in school, and be scared.
