National Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Aisha Ibrahim has inaugurated a disciplinary committee to ensure orderliness and discipline in the association, with a charge on members to be fair to all parties.

Statement signed by the Secretary of the committee. Ayuku Pwaspo and made available to newsmen on Sunday , February 4, said the inauguration of the committee was done virtually with Adesola Jacobs as chairperson.
According to Pwaspo, ” during the inauguration which was done virtually, the National Chairperson stressed that any member of the committee with conflict of interest in any matter brought before the committee should step aside and allow other members to handle the matter”.
Responding on behalf of other members, chairperson of the committee, Adesola Jacobs assured the National Chairperson that the committee will not fail in the assignment.
She called on members of the association to channel their grievances and petitions in writing to the committee within two weeks or latest 17th February 2024 to enable the committee attend to such issues speedily.
Such petitioners Jacobs said, “should not use insulting or foul language and the petitions must be duly signed with phone numbers and state chapters indicated on it.
