…As Enugu North monarchs honour her with chieftaincy title “Ifekaugo Enugu “
Wife of Enugu state Governor, Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah ,Friday, 3rd October, in Ovoko , Igboeze south local government area of Enugu state, commissioned and handed over keys of a 3-bedroom bungalow she built, to the family of Emmanuel and Ngozi Odo, parents of quintuplets, delivered after five years of barrenness.
The Governor’s wife was also honoured with a chieftaincy title of ” Ifekaugo Igboeze south na Enugu state,” by the Enugu North council of traditional rulers in Uhunowerre, Igbo- Eze South local government.

She was crowned by HRM Igwe Herbert Ukuta, the chairman , Enugu North Council of traditional rulers, HRM Igwe H. I. Eze, Igwe Ibeagwa, patron, Enugu state council of traditional council , and HRM Igwe Okechukwu Abajii, Igwe Unadu,, Chairman Igboeze south local government council of traditional rulers.
Speaking at the commissioning and handing over of the house to Odo family, Mrs Mbah said the ceremony was a celebration of “God’s grace and the power of human compassion”.
“”To welcome multiple beautiful babies at once is a divine sign. A miraculous blessing that confirms God’s favour upon your household.However, we are also sensitive to the realities of our world.
“We acknowledge that such a wonderful gift, particularly when skewed against the backdrop of the harsh economic climate, can sometimes weigh heavily on the parent.The stress of providing adequate shelter and care is immense.This beautiful new home project is a project that proves what we can achieve when we pool resources together towards an objective.
“It is a humble and tangible way of directly elevating the impact of present economic action. These children have indeed done something extraordinary. They have greatly blessed our family and our community, which we should all be thankful for.
She thanked the chairman of the Igboeze south Local Government area, Ferdinand Ukwueze and his wife for their efforts in assisting in monitoring the project while it was being constructed

May the beautiful children you have been giving grow up within this world knowing they were born into a community that cherishes them and into a family that is deeply loved”, Mrs Mbah said..
She said the gesture has demonstrated that” our collective grace is greater than any economic challenge,,”

Speaking with newsmen, the chairman Igboeze south local government, Hon. Ferdinando Ukwueze thanked the Governor ‘s wife for her kind gesture to Odo family and prayed God to bless her the more.
He disclosed that his administration built a house for the senior brother of Emmanuel Odo, who donated a piece of land to his younger brother,the Land in which his house was built.
Speaking on the chieftaincy title given to the Governor’s wife, Hon Ukwueze, who is also the Deputy chairman , Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, Enugu state, said symbolically , “Ugo” represents eagle. Eagle is a thing of beauty, a thing of peace, and a thing of victory and foresight. Everything that has to do with positivity surrounds and associates itself as virtues with that name, Ugo.
“Now, when we call Her Excellency “Ifekaugo 1 of Igboeze -south, Enugu State”, what we mean is that the intricate beauty in her transcends the one we see, which is even amazing. It is a beauty of character.She is composed of so many virtues.
“We cannot thank her enough. If we had more name, we could have given her, not just by way of accolade, but by way of physical demonstration of what she represents in Nigeria.
“In our place we say, Onye feze , Eze eruya- aka. She has so served and honoured people in government above her that she even deserves more name.”, Hon.. Ukwueze said.
The chairman also spoke on the youth empowerment program in which his administration sponsored 100 youth who graduated in different skills on Friday, at the Mario institute of Hospitality and management education, Uhunowerre.
“This is not the first set, but this is the first that Igboeze South Local Government Area has sponsored into full scholarship.Three days ago, it was also happening at Udi, in St. Mary’s Agro Enterprises, under the auspices of Bishop Ernest Obodo, the auxiliary bishop of Enugu Diocese, where sons and daughters of Igboeze South Local Government Area, en mass, also graduated after a six-month intensive training, skill acquisition in the spheres of agro-economy.

” As I speak with you today, some of them are already preparing their documents for a trip to Saudi Arabia, where they have secured jobs. The other people are also moving from here now, from that place, to go to Kuwait, where agro-industries have applied through the school for them, because they believe in the certificates beyond this case they’ve acquired. So, for me, it is not about the copper certificates, it is not about the structures and the roads, it is about investing in the generation next. That is why it is a thing of joy for me today,” he said.
The chairman thanked Governor Peter Mbah whom he called” a modern wonder in the realms of governance. He does those ordinary things in an extraordinary way, that now makes it more meaningful for the people of Enugu State.He first gave us a platform, he first gave us inspiration, he is also giving us the mentorship on how to invest in the people.I have mainly domesticated what he does from Lion Building for the people of Enugu State,” the ALGON Deputy chairman said.
On his advise to the beneficiaries he said, “they are not responsible for how backward or otherwise their backgrounds are, but definitely they will be responsible for what becomes of their future.We have given them this platform. We have inspired them into greatness. They should not slack.
“There is no ground without challenges. No matter what challenges face their way, they should make sure that the seed of progress and success have been credited into their future, beginning from this platform, so that at the end of the day, it is not how you began, but how you are ending that matters too”, Hon. Ukwueze said.
