First Bank of Nigeria Ltd says it will continue to partner Enugu state Government in development , noting that the age long partnership with the state has been beneficial, hence , the bank’s establishment of over twenty branches in the state, a figure not seen in any other state.
Managing Director of the bank Olusegun Alebiosu, made this known on Tuesday while speaking with Newsmen on his visit to the Governor of Enugu state, Dr Peter Mbah in Government House,Enugu.
He said he paid a courtesy visit to the Governor in continuation of their partnership with the state.

Speaking about First Bank’s relationship with Enugu state Government, the managing Director said, “I don’t know, you may be aware that First bank has over twenty branches in Enugu state. Am not sure any bank comes close to that. Which means that First bank is totally woven to the fabric of Enugu state.. So, anywhere you turned to you will see us and we will continue to support development in Enugu state. So, we just came to reinforce our commitment to Enugu state and further support His Excellency, the Governor, Dr Peter Mbah”.
On the presence of First Bank in Enugu state he said, “we have our training school here in Enugu state . We support the government in projects like road construction, housing estate and so many other projects. We are so proud of the governor and we know that he is from the private sector background, which he has brought into governance and his transparency, is very principal . I have known him many years before he became a governor. Enugu state is lucky to have him., ” the Managing Director said.
Commending Governor Mbah on his massive development in the state, he said, “If you go round Enugu state you can see many things he is doing ,the roads, Smart schools, health, agriculture , in tourism,. He is doing great things in Enugu state. . Am sure you are happy with Enugu Air. More and more will come.
“I know this December will be the best December you will see around here,,” the First Bank Managing Director said.
