School Administrator lauds FG’s 16yrs minimum age for tertiary institutions’ admission

Administrator of Sacred Heart of Jesus School , Aba, Abia state , has lauded the Federal Government for setting 16 years as the minimum age of admission into the tertiary institutions in Nigeria, saying , the, age limit will help curtail youths silly behaviours in the higher institutions and give the students room to have exhibit acceptable behaviour in the society.

He gave the commendation in an interview with newsmen in Aba on Tuesday.

Okereke expressed satisfaction with the performances of the immediate past SSS 3 graduates and urged them to upheld the School moral ethics wherever they found themselves.

He also advised them to be focused and maintain the standard of living the school instilled in them and not to be carried away by the flashy things of the world.

The administrator warned the students against, the bad influence from the socal media which he said, had led many youths astray in pursuit of source of livelihood.

One of the graduates, Chidera Ogbonna said, she was excited for graduating from secondary school and looks forth to succefully gain admission into higher leaning.

Ogbonna, a 17 year old girl, promised to be a good ambassador of the school every day and to always uphold the School moral teachings.

She thanked the School proprietor and teachers for giving them a favorable atmosphere of learning and not placing money aboveof learning.

The school had 48 graduates from Senior Secondary School (SSS) and 50 grfrom Junior Secondary School (JSS) into the senior class.

The administrator added that, 40 pupils graduated from Basic six into the JSS class, and 25 pupils graduated from Nursery section to Basic one while 25 pupils graduated from activity class into Basic one.
