Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police in-charge of Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), Sadiq Abubakar, has tasked Force CID officers on maintaining integrity to constantly win confidence of Nigerians.
He gave the task on Thursday in Enugu while interacting with officers and men of the Force CID Annex, Enugu during an unscheduled visit.

The DIG, who delivered a lecture that underscored the importance of diligence, integrity and professionalism in the line of duty, expressed satisfaction with the turnout and diligence displayed by officers in the course of their duties.
Abubakar encouraged them to continue to work towards rebuilding the image of the Force, which had faced challenges in the past.
He emphasised that officers, including men under them, must conduct investigations “with the fear of God devoid of favouritism while maintaining honesty and integrity at all times.”
“My surprise visit today is aimed at boosting your morale and reminding you once again on the importance of adhering to the highest standards of professionalism in criminal investigations,” he said.
The DIG urged officers to remain committed to their duties, stressing that their work remained crucial in maintaining law and order and the”ensuring justice is served”.
Responding, the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in-charge of FCID Annex Enugu, Chukwudi Ariekpere, thanked the DIG for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit the annex (formation).
Ariekpere assured the DIG that the annex would continue to maintain the highest level of discipline and devotion to work, in line with the directives and expectations outlined during the visit.
Also speaking, CSP Godisgreat Arum, the Annex Public Relations Officer, noted that the visit was a morale booster to officers and men for them to be committed and dedicated to their duties.
Arum, who spoke on behalf of officers and men of the annex, also pledged that personnel of the annex would redouble their efforts in ensuring that investigations are conducted with utmost professionalism and integrity.
