Speaking during their presentation to the state chairman of the PDP, Dr. Martin Chukwuwike at the Party secretariat, Enugu, the former Publicity secretary of the Labour Party, Odo Titus Onuora, expressed joy coming back to the PDP. He said Governor Mbah’s massive development in the state informed his coming back.

“I am happy to tell you that I am back to my home. I came back because of the giant development stride of Governor Mbah. I say kudos to him. The second reason is the defection of my immediate boss, Dr. Chijioke Edeoga. Another reason, Engr. Uchenna Ogara is turning Igboeze – North into a township. He has never rested till he became the Local Government chairman.”

Pledging to support the Chairman , Onuora said ,” We are going to support your government, for you to put Igboeze North on a global map”.

Commending Governor Mbah for his good works in the state, the former Labour Party publicity secretary said, “I support the government of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah. I will do everything within my power to ensure that PDP will go far in Igboeze North “, Onuora said..

On his part, another former Labour Party chieftain who defected to the PDP, Prince Emeka Mamah ,thanked the PDP leadership in Igboeze North, Enugu North senatorial zone, the State chapter and all the PDP faithful for receiving him back to the PDP.

Attributing his decision to return to the PDP to the massive development Governor Mbah has brought to Enugu state, Prince Maama said he was overwhelmed with the giant developmental strides Governor Mbah has recorded so far in the state.

He said Governor had extended hands of fellowship to all other candidates, urging them to emulated him( Mbah)

“Personally, I am pleased with the performances of our Governor in Enugu state. Somebody like me does not support any Governor that is not performing. Good things have started coming to Enugu state.

“The present governor , Peter Mbah , has shown that governance is not supposed to be what it used to be in the past. He has endeared my heart so much and that is why somebody like me, the person I brought here today, and so many other people will have to join the party,” he said .

The former Commissioner for Environment as well as  Rural Development further disclosed that more political gladiators who were once aggrieved but got pacified by Mbah’s style of governance and inclusive leadership would soon return to the party.

“In the next couple of days, there is going to be a lot of movement of people that I worked with when we were with Barr Chijioke Edeoga and Peter Obi in the last elections. So many of our members are going to be part of this movement to PDP and in support of Peter Ndubuisi Mbah,” he said.

Mamah expressed optimism that PDP will continue to lead , assuring they will not leave again because the issues that made them to leave were no longer there.

Receiving the Returners to the PDP, the State Party Chairman, Dr. Martin Chukwuwike, expressed joy that the chieftains were back to their former party, the PDP. He said other parties were collapsing because of the good governance of Governor Mbah in Enugu state.

He added that Governor Mbah wanted those who left the PDP to other parties to come back to the PDP.” I feel happy having these gentlemen. God has done it for us. God has solved all these problems for us, that those who were against us are now for us. Tsunami has come and , so we must package ourselves for 2027,” the state chairman said

Earlier, the ward chairman of Umuizi 3, ward ,Ugbaike, Igboeze-North, Boniface Okoh and his UmuOti , ward 2, counterpart, Eze Destiny Akaraka Desmond, said Onuora Odo and Emeka Maama had registered at their wards respectively.

Speaking, the Local Government chairman said he was fulfilled to get the Returners back to the PDP..

“I have a great sense of fulfilment today because during my campaign I kept telling them that my first mission is to unify the local government under the biggest umbrella in West Africa and with the introduction of honour Prince Emeka Mamah,Ideh ,and my contestant, the one that contested with me during the Local Government election, I can see that when I get back to Igboeze -North today, I will look around , I will find no Labourer. Am not going to see any Labourer around.

” I will just be seeing umbrella, only umbrellas around. So, I feel fulfilled. Both Returnees are very active personalities in igboeze North. Talk about Ideh, he is very popular on Igboeze North. I know the kind of crusade I made that brought him back. It’s going to strengthen the party . When we become one, we become strongest. There is strength that unity generated. That is it,” Ogara said.
