Special Adviser to the Governor of Enugu state on Digital Economy and MSMEs ,Arinze Chilo Offia ,says the state Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah is very keen about digital economy , hence, his initiatives in driving innovation to Enugu state.
Chilo-Offia made that known to newsmen on Thursday in an interview in Enugu.
He said Governor Mbah ‘s vision to grow the Gross Domestic Product ( GDP) of the state to $30Billion by 2031 could be achieved by making sure innovation is in the heart of the game. ‘ The Governor is very keen on having innovation technology involved in all sectors of our economy , he is working on all sectors involved,” he said

Chilo- Offiah, who runs the Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the state ,said the ” commitments of the current administration, under the renewed hope agenda of Mr President, Bola Tinubu through the Minister of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy, Tijania has been able to ensure that he supports Enugu state..
With certain amount of slots under the 3MTT programme, ,coincidentally, Enugu state was going to be the first state to come up with the 3MTt programme and every year 50,000 is to be trained across different school sets for three years’. He explained that the state was happy about that.
” On average, it’s going to cost not less than N10 billion and it is something already in the budget, It goes a long way for them to identify Enugu state as a hub to come and invest in.
“Some of our assets, some of our locations like the Smart schools, like the International Conference Centre, like the Command and Control center, State of the Arts, AI technology and the Honorable minister was full of praises to our working Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah
In terms of leveraging these opportunities that were being presented, he advised Enugu state youth to key into the programme. ” These are programs that are free. Take the bull by the horns . It’s only you that could change your own narrative. Nobody can force you to change your narrative. There is no cost embedded into it . It is free ” he said.
On 3MTT program, he said the program is real. He advised the youths to ey into the program.they have centers across the 17 local government , Digital skills Enhancement zones. what we are doing is converting the ICT centres at the PPSMB schools to carter for the communities and that’s part of the innovation of His Excellency.
He said the selection of the students was transparent and after their learning, they will support the students in business after the training.
