Chairman of the Enugu state chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress .Comrade Fabian Nwigbo has appealed to the Verification team conducting the workers’ verification exercise to adhere strictly to the time table approved by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Chidiebere Onyia for an easy exercise .
He made the appeal on Tuesday , in a telephone interview with Newsline Global
The appeal followed workers” complaints of stress, loss of time and failure to use the approved time-table for the verification exercise, currently going on at the Local Government Civil Service Commission , Enugu,
Comrade Nwigbo disclosed that the labour union had approached the state government before the commencement of the exercise and a time table was drawn and signed by the Secretary to the Store Government,Professor Chidiebere Onyia. He wondered why the time table was not being followed strictly.
He noted that using the time -,table will bring about a smooth exercice as well as save time and cost, as workers will be guided and come only on days approved for their various MDAs.
He frowned at the way workers traveled from far and near ,and spent a whole day at the Commission without being attended to.

Some workers who said they came from far places on Monday ,disclosed that they were not attended to. Some said they were there last week and were not attended to.
Meanwhile, teachers had been scheduled to hold theirs for five days , from March 24 ,- 29, 2025, with a promise that only them would be attended to on those days .
It was gathered that some workers had issues in the previous verification exercise conducted, hence , the need current one. Salaries would be paid once a worker is cleared.
