‘No such thing happened in Enugu State”.

They said ,”the video in place was a demolition that took place somewhere in the north, which the daredevils culled from antiquity, purporting it to have taken place in Enugu State in order to misrepresent the Mbah Administration before the public.

‘It may interest the public to know that the Enugu State Government had put up a notice of vacation to property owners whose property was less free than 5 metres to the road, following the flag off of the dualization of the 43.7km Penoks-Abakpa Nike-Opi-Nsukka Road in October, 2024.

“While the fringes were being cleared for the commencement of construction work on the road, affected property owners had vacated the property. What played out was that some scavengers milled around the sites seeking what to cart away with. Some of them dashed into the buildings on demolition, seeking what to grab.

” The Enugu State Government under Mbah’s watch would not go to such inhuman length of demolishing a property while the owners were inside it. The video is fake and should be so-regarded by the general public” ,the statement read .

Meanwhile, people interviewed in Abakpa said occupants were not in the buildings while demoliiton was going on. They commended Governor Peter Mbah for his good works in the state, especially, for the dualization of Abakpa- Ugwuogo road.
