A stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) and Federal House of Representatives member, representing Ideato federal constituency, , Imo State, Honorable Ugochinyere Ikenga has commended the Governor of Enugu state ,Dr. Peter Mbah for his commitment and steadfastness to the party, urging members working against the progress and unity of the PDP to desist from doing that.

He gave the commendation on Friday while speaking with newsmen in Enugu.. on the crisis in PDP. Hon Ikenga frowned at the activities of some members working against the PDP.
He said he was pained at the event in the party , not basically because he was involved , but “because people have no conscience. People are not well raised. People are so shameless.”
He asked, ” how can you be in the PDP, a political party that gave you everything and all you do is to feel that the only way you can work for Ashiwaju is to betray your own party? Is to sell your own party because you are looking for bread and plot of land in FCT. If things were done in the right way. If people were well raised, we will not be having this conversation because everybody in Nigeria would expect that the PDP would be not just an opposition party but will lead other opposition parties in Africa, but here we are fighting against ourselves because of bread and butter”.

According to him, the very moment one went to run for an election, he had lost his position as a member of the party executive.
He said there were party members working against the party and some want to remain. The Lawmaker warned that if they don’t get the “political criminals ” out of the way before December 2025 convention , if they were not thrown out of the party,, then, by December they must have destroyed the party because they want to re-elect themselves and then , go ahead and endorse APC during presidential election.”,
He lamented that the party leadership had fallen into the hands of Political Actors., saying, “Ordinary to call for a national convention to choose a substantive chairman of the party they could not..

“They are on a mission to destroy the party to ensure the PDP does not survive beyond 2027 , then after 2030 they will come and reposition it”.
Commending Enugu state Governor ,Peter Mbah, Hon Ikenga said, “So, we commend the Governor of Enugu state, who has kept faith and doing everything possible to unite the party and bring us together.”
