Governor of Enugu state, Dr. Peter Mbah, has commended the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND, on it’s contributions to the development of the state’s educational sector, commending its interventions in enhancing infrastructure, teaching quality, and research capabilities in tertiary institutions.

He gave the commendation Monday, while receiving the delegation of the House of Representatives Committee on TETFUND led by the Committee’s Chairman and member representing
Okigwe/Onuimo/Isiala Mbaano Federal Constituency of Imo State, RT. Hon Miriam Onuoha, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Government House,Enugu.
Governor Mbah expressed gratitude to the committee for their commitment to overseeing TETFUND’s activities and ensuring its impact is felt across Enugu state.
Earlier, the Committee Chairman, RT. Hon Miriam Onuoha, who doubles as the Secretary of the Southeast Caucus of the House of Representatives, told the Governor that they were in Enugu on a working visit.
She explained that the committee was established to address critical concerns arising from alleged performance issues, execution, and implementation of TETFUND allocations.
Rt. Hon. Onuoha said they were in Enugu to ascertain the status of the Tertiary institutions in the state and to see how to assist thr institutions in accessing interventions made available over the past four years, lying unused in the Central Bank of Nigeria into the state Coffers.. She said the Governor expressed the desire for more interventions to the State, assuring they woll be accessing the funds.
