Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) has announced a general system collapse which occurred at 13:52 hours today, 5th November 2024.
According to statement signed by Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC,
Emeka Ezeh, and made available to Newsmen on Tuesday in Enugu, “the collapse has resulted in the loss of supply currently being experienced across the EEDC network.
The statement read in parts,
“Consequently, due to this development, all our interface TCN stations are out of supply, and we are unable to provide services to our customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, and Imo States.
“
“We are on standby awaiting detailed information about the collapse and restoration of supply from the National Control Centre (NCC), Osogbo”, Ezeh said

Similarly, Mainpower Electricity Distribution Limited also announced the system collapse
Statement from the management said all their interface TCN stations were out of supply and were unable to provide service to their customers.
The statement said they were on standby awaiting detailed information about the collapse. The management assured their customers that supply will be restored once the situation normalises.
