According to her, the programme was originally launched online during the COVID-19 pandemic and gained widespread support and positive feedback, leading to its expansion and upcoming relaunch.
She noted that in a world where the need for exemplary leadership and character was paramount, the REAL Programme was designed to nurture and empower young African women to become leaders of integrity, empathy, and vision.
According to her, through a unique blend of self-discovery, value orientation, graceful leadership training and community engagement, the programme aims to shape the next generation of African women who will lead with purpose and compassion.
The executive director added that the project would enable women serve as role models and change agents in their homes, schools, offices and communities.
She further disclosed that the inspiration for the programme stems from her personal journey of resilience , where she faced unexpected and deeply personal challenges, including the end of her marriage that led her into a period of intense reflection and growth.
“Through these experiences, I discovered a renewed sense of purpose, which now fuels her commitment to helping other women navigate their life transitions.
She stressed that the programme which was scheduled to hold on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Golden Top Hotel, Enugu would address the societal expectations that often pressure young African women into unfulfilling situations.
“Through a month-long mentorship programme, participants will engage in self-discovery and personal development, creating tailored plans that empower them to make meaningful contributions to their communities, workplaces, and families.
“When a woman is empowered, she will not only transforms her life but also lights the way for others. Together, we can nurture a generation of women who will drive sustainable development and lasting change,” Ndukwe said.
