As the counting and collation process continues in the Enugu East Local Government Area, early field results from polling units in Mbuluiyukwu, Amorji, Umuchigbo, Ugwogo, Abakpa 1, and Abakpa 2 indicate a decisive victory for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Engr. Pastor Beloved-Dan Anike.
The Nike people had unanimously adopted Engr. Anike as their sole candidate, and his overwhelming support is evident at the polls. Speaking after casting his vote at Umuchigbo Civic Center, Engr. Anike attributed his smooth path to victory to the remarkable developmental strides of Enugu State’s innovative governor, which have resonated well with the people.
