Enugu LG polls: Prince Nwanjoku kicks-off campaign, promises unity, massive devp

As September 21, 2024 Enugu state Local Government elections is fast approaching, Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party Chairmanship candidate for Aninri Local Government Area , Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku has kicked -off his campaign , promising to unite all Aninri people and bring massive development in the area.

He made the promise Tuesday at Nenwe ward 1 and Ndeabor ward, during the flags-off of the party’s campaign . He commended Governor Mbah for recording milestone achievements within one year and four months in office, which according to him, has given the party a hope of victory across the 17 local government areas.

Nwanjoku promised massive infrastructural development , adding that he will revitalise moribund infrastructure in order to create job opportunities, assured that he will leave unbeatable legacy projects after his tenure as the council chairman.

He promised to immortalise those who fought for the creation of the council area from the old Awgu LGA, among them were the former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, the first traditional ruler of Ohofia Ndumeze Kingdom in Oduma, late Igwe Onyioha Nwanjoku, among others, as a way to keep their names alive.

He promised to replicate the state women’s monthly prayer for Governor Mbah in the council, and unite Aninri people in order to bring about development.

Party supporters who spoke at the event, threw their weight on Prince Nwanjoku.
