In the history of Igboeze- North politics, no individual has enjoyed the support being given to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Hon. Engr. Uche Micheal Ogalla and his would be Deputy , Hon. Dr. Abba Joe. A plethora of well meaning individuals cutting across politicians, industrialists, the clergy, youths, royal fathers to mention but a few have recently thrown their weight behind the Ogalla/Abah project.
Few weeks ago, the Enugu born Port Harcourt based philanthropist and investor Chief Festus Oshaba the CEO of Ferotex Construction Limited, played host to the PDP candidate at his country home at Umuagama, Enugu-Ezike. The thematic preoccupation of their discussion was the transformation and inspirational agenda Hon. Ogalla was bringing to Igbo-Eze North, the influential Construction giant keyed into the blueprint Ogalla had in store for Igbo-Eze.

Yesterday, 5th September, 2024, an epoch was made as the highly respected traditional ruler of Essodo ancient Kingdom and the former chairman of Enugu state council of traditional rulers, His Royal Majesty Igwe S. O. Itodo Ezeoha of Essodo received in audience the Ogalla/Abba team at his royal palace at Aji, Enugu-Ezike .
Aside, the support and encouragement the royal father invoked the heavens to make the Ogalla/Abba project a reality. he copiously prayed and blessed them.
Also same Yesterday, the entire Igbo-Eze North council of traditional rulers poured their blessings on the PDP candidate, the chairman of the council HRH. Igwe Cyril Ayogu Igwe Okpoko of Umuopu Kingdom on behalf of the royal fathers endorsed and blessed Engr. Ogalla.
While still basking in the euphoria of the royal blessings, a jinx was broken as the entire five Autonomous communities and the three Electoral wards in Ette affirmed and resolved to deliver the PDP candidate and his running mate on the day of the election.
IIn a release by a community leader and a former councilor Hon. Dr. Joseph Okwu Ogwuche the Ette people took the unanimous decision to reciprocate the PDP’s magnanimity in zoning the Vice-chairmanship slot to them, which is a sign of inclusiveness, fairness and equity. The masterstroke played by PDP has greatly doused tension as experienced in opposition camps who in their usual winner takes it all mantra never considered minorities hence in Igbo-Eze North LGA PDP chapter, there is no acrimony, rancor or bitterness.
The statement issued by Hon. Ogwuche further read thus ” Etteh community, after its emergency stakeholders meeting of the five Autonomous communities and three Electoral wards, with Community leaders, Town unions, Traders, Churches, and all the different interest groups in the five Autonomous communities resolved to give PDP 101% vote for the forthcoming local government Elections.
“They appreciate the fact that PDP and its leadership, in their wisdom, zoned the Vice Chairmanship seat to Etteh, to balance up the process. It is Worthy to note that, this excellent decision by the party, has further helped in Uniting Etteh people, heralding its decision and resolutions. Consequently, with the promise made by His Excellency to work on Enugu Ezike-Etteh road, the good people of the five Autonomous communities and 3 Electoral wards, stamped and sealed its decision with a strong affirmation. Congratulations to the good people of Etteh, for taking this bold step and decision. Congratulations to PDP, Congratulations to the good people of Igboeze North, Congratulations to Ogalla/Abah Mandate. Together, we can”*
The implications of these milestones cannot be overemphasized as it has once again boosted the chances of the PDP. For instance out of 20 wards in Igbo-Eze North LGA, it is no mean feat to get endorsement from three wards, do not get it twisted Ette people are known for their integrity and fidelity given the antecedents of their voting behavior _” If they say they will do, they will do but if they say they will not do, they will not do”_ PDP can now go town to celebrate and jubilate as they already has Ette in their bag, in all honesty what will be the bargaining power of the opposition who in their widest imagination never deemed Ette worthy of occupying any public office? It is unfathomable that both LP and APC still bamboozle and hoodwink the good people of Ette in relegating them to the back seat.

With two weeks to the election, political analysts strongly believe that PDP’s Ogalla/Abba will demystify the opposition party.
The president of the apex Igbo-Eze North Socio-political group – Igbo-Eze North Peoples Forum IGNPF Dr. Sir Eze Chikaodlii said,” Party is supreme and as such the best candidate on the saddle is ogalla. Onuora is improving on his popularity with the contest. My take is that we should be advising ogalla on how best to manage the affairs of igboeze north when assumes office.” It is crystal clear that the election has been won and lost in favour of Ogalla/Abba.”
