Fadama ,Enugu office has commenced the distribution of free Agricultural inputs and Assets to 3, 340 farmers in Enugu state.
Speaking with newsmen at the flag-off of the free distribution of agricultural inputs and assets held, Thursday ,at the Michael Okpara Square, Enugu, the state Project Coordinator, Geoffrey Ndubuisii Ezeh said the project was under the Nigerian Covid – 19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus programme(NG Cares) aimed at increasing food security in the state.

According to him, the program has three delivery platforms implementing the NG-Cares across the country.The platforms are Result Area 1- Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Result Area 2 -(Fadama-food security) and Result Area 3 (CSDA)
He said , 2,040 farmers will be given Power tillers( Cultivators) while 1300, farmers will be given bundles of cassava stem, organic fertilizers and agro- chemicals.
The Acting State Project Coordinator said they had thirty- four farmers’ Community Association in the state, two in each of the Seventeen Local Government Areas. He added that each Local Government will be given three power tillers.
Ezeh commended the state Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah for his support and vision in Agricultural development , saying he had never witnessed such gesture in Enugu state before.
“His Excellency has done his beat and the beneficiaries had the responsibility to put them to use so that there will be food security in the state,” Eze said.
