NUJ Enugu State Council mourns Iwuanyanwu

Nigeria Union of Journalists Enugu State Council has expressed shock over the news of the demise of the President General Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Worldwide Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu which occurred on Thursday July 25 ,2024.

The Union said the demise of the great icon and Igbo leader  had created a huge vacuum both in Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo,”Ime Obi”,Igbo race and Nigeria in general.

According to the statement signed by the Council’s chairman,Comrade Sam Udekwe and the Secretary,Comrade Ifeoma Amuta, and made available to Newsmen on Friday, July 26, “the demise came amidst efforts by the great leader to push for stability and development of Ndi Igbo”.

“In the face of these blows in the cold hands of death, the living leaders of Ndigbo are encouraged not to be weighed down in the struggle to restore the pride of place for the Igbo nation”.

The Council  consoles the immediate family of Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Imo State, his associates. and prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.
