Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) South East Regional Office, Enugu in collaboration with Agroease Limited Wednesday, held a workshop on “Expanding Access to Global Market via Digital Means ” with the theme, “ Seller-Buyer Digital Interfacing to Upscale Export”, calling on business community to add value to their products and embrace digital trading for business expansion.
South -East Regional Coordinator, MacPherson Fred- Ileogben made the call in a keynote address, he delivered at the workshop held at ECCIMA Secretariat, G.R.A. Enugu.
He said the workshop was organized to create opportunity for exporters, potential exporters and SMEs to gain applicable knowledge while developing capacity on leveraging digital platforms for interfacing with potential buyers of their products.

The Coordinator noted that costs involved in physically sourcing for buyers of non-oil exportable products in other countries was high and doing same digitally reduces cost.
His words, “costs involved in physically sourcing for buyers of non-oil exportable products in other countries can, no doubt, be astonomical. In any case, with the era of globalization promoting knowledge economy, as low hanging fruit, deploying online resources have made it possible for sellers and buyers to interface with one another – B2B, B2C etc. – in a cost-effective manner.”

On the aim of the workshop, the Regional Coordinator said , ” This workshop will expose you to digital platforms that can support your market access needs for improved export performance in line with the Council’s #doubleyourexport mantra as well as the diversification of the Nigerian economy,”
Ileogben urged participants to participate actively in the capacity building programme and broaden their non-oil export business horizon as well as transfer

In a goodwill message, the Managing Director of Agroease, Kpakpando Nwazota said the workshop was organized to empower exporters, potential exporters, SMEs with knowledge on upscaling the export of their products.
In an interview, the Chief Marketing officer, Agroease, Emmanuel Ogochukwu said that Agroease is a digital platform that connects buyers and sellers, agro-allied business owners, business enterprises, companies. They sell and buy agro-allied products.
He said Agroease is a digital platform whereby you can be at the convenience of your room, your office and do your business online. You can be working in a company and still be doing your business

The Chief Marketing officer said that they verify every business and every seller that is coming on board.
Ogochukwu said that they have a quality assurance unit that checks the products and ensures that every product must be verified before delivery of products.
He advised business men and women to add value to their products and embrace a digital platform for their businesses to be seen internationally.
