In a bid to ensure proper operations of the newly established Enugu state Electrification Agency, and ensure that people have access to electricity services, Enugu state Government says it is currently studying underserved and unserved communities and will soon constitute the management of the newly established Enugu State Electrification Agency.
The State Governor , Dr Peter Mbah disclosed that on Thursday in Enugu during a Customer Complaints Resolution Meeting organised by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC..
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Chidiebere Onyia, Governor Mbah said the state was determined to ensuring that the module in energy intervention as relates to electricity is replicated across the zone.

Governor Mbah’ emphasized the importance of electricity in growing the state economy from 4.4 to 30 billion dollars as projected by his administration before 2031.
Dr Mbah said the government has started engaging with developers and investors who were interested in setting up power generation plants under the will buyer/will seller commercial agreement.
He he urged the electricity regulatory body not to derail on the steady and quality power supply according to the band classifications warning that the state government will not condone any act of overcharge or extortion.
