National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has sensitized members of the Nigeria Association Of Women
Journalists, ( NAWOJ) Enugu State Chapter on dangers of illicit drugs .

Satement made available to Newsmen on Monday,April 8, in Enugu by the head media and advocacy,NDLEA, DCN Mmeka Calista said the sensitization program was aimed at exposing the stakeholders to the dangers of Drug abuse and to encourage them to partner with the Agency in the fight against drug Abuse.
According to her, CSN Udeh Edith delivered the lecture titled “ Drug Dangers and it’s Effects to the Society and the Role Of Mothers in the family”
On her part, chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists Enugu State,Comrade Ngozi Ngene commended the NDLEA for the training .
She assured NAWOJ ‘s commitment in partnering NDLEA in achieving it’s set goals.
The NAWOJ Chairperson said,”On our part , our association is committed to making our environment a healthy, vibrant welcoming place for all. we promise to partner with NDLEA to step down the training to the communities , schools and churches within the state.

We will use all our available tools to educate people, highlight the evil effects of drug abuse in our society which will help a long way to create a healthier and safer society for all and sundry”, she said.
She advised government to strengthen law enforcement efforts to crack down on drug dealers which can help combat drug trafficking and distribution.
She thanked the resource person for the training and called for more collaboration .
