Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire, on Sunday, defeated the Super Eagles of Nigeria 2-1 at the final of AFCON 2023 played  in Abidjan.

Super Eagles’  Captain, W. Troost-Ekong, scored for Nigeria through a header in the 38th minute.

Elephant’s F. Kessié equalised in the 62nd minute while S. Haller scored the winning goal for Cote d’Ivoire in the 81st minute, giving Cote d’ Ivoire the lead.
