Enugu state Governor’s wife Mrs ,Nkechinyere Mbah has distributed food items, cash to some motherless babies homes, home for the elderly and home for the people living with disabilities in Enugu metropolis.

She presented the items which included bags of 25kg rice, cartons of noodles, bags of sachet water, packs of tissue paper as well as cash to the Family Support Programme( FSP) medical centre, G.R.A. Enugu, Mother Louisa Charity home, Udi siding, Holy Child motherless babies home, Nigerian Red Cross Motherless babies home, Special education centre,Coal Camp ,Chechire home, and Little Sisters of the Poor home for the Elderly ,Enugu ,on Monday, respectively.
The Governor’s wife ,who was touched and excited interacting with the inmates, inquired how they were fed and how long some of them had stayed in the homes. She commended the caregivers for the great job they were doing.

At Chechire home
The Governor’s wife was told that most of the children in the motherless babies homes lost their mothers.
At the Special education centre( School for the deaf), Mrs Mbah interacted with the students, using sign language, with the help of an assistant( a staff of the school).
At Chechire home and the Home for the Elderly, she also interacted with the persons living with living with disabilities and the aged respectively..
She picked special interest in the oldest inmate, a 95 years old woman, Josephine Okereke, who prayed for the Governor’s wife, her entourage, the statr Governor, Dr Peter Mbah, and the Government and people of Enugu state
