Enugu State government has suspendsed the signing and issuance of Certicates of Occupancy, Deeds and other lands instruments by the State Ministry of Lands and Urban Development, effective today, 21st June, 2023.
Secretary to the State Government, Prof Chidiebere Onyia, announced this in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen on Wednesday,June 21 in Enugu.
The statement reads:
“The Enugu State government hereby suspends the signing and issuance of Certicates of Occupancy, Deeds and other lands instruments by the State Ministry of Lands and Urban Development, effective today, 21st June, 2023.
“The general public is also reminded that Certificates of Occupancy can only be validly signed by His Excellency the Governor of Enugu State in line with the provisions of the law.
Please be guided accordingly.
