Enugu state Governor, Dr Peter Mbah will on Saturday,June,10, 2023, hold a town hall meeting with stakeholders to seek a way forward towards ending Mondays sit-at-home , which has affected the economic activities in the state.
Statement signed by the secretary to the state Government , Professor Chidiebere Onyia,and made available to newsmen ,on Thursday,June 8, in Enugu ,said the meeting will be held at Banquet Hall, Old Government Lodge, Abakaliki Road, GRA, Enugu at 10:30am.
The statement read:
“Pursuant to the cancellation of the sit-at-home order by the Enugu State Government, effective 5th June, 2023, and as a follow-up to his earlier consultations with various groups, the Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, hereby invites the following stakeholders to a town-hall meeting on the way forward:
1. Leaders of the Clergy (CAN, PFN, Bishops, Imams)
2. Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council.
3. Leaders of Civil Society Organisations
4. Leaders of Transport Unions
5. Heads of Banks and Other Financial Institutions
6. Heads of Security and Intelligence Agencies
7. State Leaders of Neighbourhood Watch/Forest Guard Groups
8. Vice Chancellors, Rectors and Provosts of Tertiary Institutions
9. Leaders of Association of Proprietors of Private Schools
10. Representatives of the NUT, ANCORPS
11. Heads of Radio/Television and Other Media Organisations
12. Students Union Leaders in Tertiary Institutions
