Former Governor of Enugu State and incumbent Senator representing Enugu East senatorial zone, Chimaroke Nnamani has lost his bid to return to the Senate.
Nnamani of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, lost to the Labour Party candidate, Sir Kelvin Chukwu., younger brother of the former candidate of LP, Oyibo Chukwu, who was murdered few days to the February 25, presidential and National Assembly elections.
The LP candidate scored 69, 136 to beat Chimaroke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 48, 701 votes.
