Chairperson of the Police Officers Wife Association (POWA), and wife of the Commissioner of Police,Enugu police command, Hajiya Sadiya Ahmad Ammani, Thursday, 5th January 2023, distributed food items, including garri, maize and other grains, donated by the Governor of the State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, to widows of deceased Policemen, who died while in active service.
Speaking during the distribution exercise at the police State Headquarters, G.R.A., Enugu, the POWA Chairperson, accompanied by members of her executives, applauded the kind gesture of Governor Ugwuanyi. She described the act of benevolence as amazing and unprecedented, and one that will go a long way to meet the food needs of the widows.
Receiving the items, the beneficiaries thanked Governor Ugwuanyi for his kind gesture. They applauded the Commissioner of Police, Ammani, for conscientiously and transparently ensuring that the food items were duly distributed among them.
